Mark Edward Dugan, born March 26, 1959, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at the age of 67.
Mark proudly served in the United States Coast Guard as an aviation maintenance technician, a role that reflected his skill, dedication, and natural ability to work with his hands. He was a man of many talents, but one of his greatest passions was music. A self-taught guitar player, Mark found joy not only in playing, but in teaching his family to play alongside him—creating memories that will live on through every note and song shared.
Mark had a deep love for the outdoors and was always happiest when he was outside or working with his hands. He was a true handyman who enjoyed fixing things and taking on projects, always finding purpose in building, repairing, and helping others. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog and constant companion, Mas, who was always by his side.
Above all, Mark was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his children: Christina (Andrew) Miles, Michelle (Robby) Watson, Jesse (Cailey) Dugan, Isaiah Dugan, and Thomas Dugan. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Jayden, James, Jordan, Jace, Lynley, Raegan, Annalee, Adalynn, Rori, Ava, Makenzie, Conner, and Madison, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia (Robert) Kowalczyk and Pamela Dugan.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Dugan, and his brother, Craig Dugan.
Mark will be remembered for his love of family, his music, his time outdoors, and the joy he found in working with his hands. His presence, laughter, and the sound of his guitar will be deeply missed but forever carried in the hearts of his family.
