

Marsha Chaney, 83, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of May 16. She was born on April 14, 1943, in Fort Wayne to Thomas and Glendora (Brokhamp) Ryan. Marsha graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961.
Over the years, she worked at Luginbill’s Tool and Die, Magnavox in Garrett and Columbia City, and The Cedars Assisted Living in Leo.
Marsha was a longtime parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She was a kind, fun-loving, sweet, and thoughtful woman who loved entertaining and was strong in her faith. Her favorite memories were made spending time with family and friends. She was well known for her famous carrot cake, and her eggrolls even earned their own feast day within the family.
She is survived by her husband, Alan, with whom she shared 28 years of marriage; her daughter, Laura (Kerry) Roberts of Bluffton; daughter, Jodi (Curt) Butler and son, Edward (Tonya) Busche both of Leo; stepson, Mark (Carol) Chaney of Leo; stepson, Todd (Kay) Chaney of Fort Wayne; and stepson, Bryan (Barb) Chaney of LaOtto. She is also survived by her sister, Brenda Miller of Fort Wayne; sisters-in-law, Norma Butler and Joan Amstutz of Leo; 16 grandchildren: Danielle (Clint Baker) Roberts, Andrea (Michael) Wood, Jarred (Mason) Roberts, Jordan (Cassandra) Roberts, Cayla Butler, Kendra (Brayden) Moreau, Bryce Butler, Will (Chelsay) Grennay, Taylor (Chris) Johnson, Blake, Madison and Abby Busche, Logan (Tori) Chaney, Lauren Chaney, Jason and Brian Norris. 22 great-grandchildren: Mateo, Carson, Addison, Kinnley, Reece, Hudson, Bennett, Connor, Maggie, Bo, Nova, Bristol, Ayvie, Harlyn, Milo, Levi, and Carter, Madison, Charlotte, Jack, Katie and Ben.
Mass of Christian Bural will be 11:00 am Friday May 22, 2026, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior.
Visitation also from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday May 21, 2026, with a Rosary at 3:30 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Committal and burial at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.
