Obituary of Marsha Rolf Sheets
MARSHA ROLF SHEETS, 70, died comfortably on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in her home surrounded by her family. Born Sept. 28, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Theodore (Bud) Rolf and Louise Rolf. She grew up with two adoring brothers, Ted Rolf (Kathy) and Randy Rolf (Debbie). She married Philip T. Sheets Sr. on Nov. 24, 1962. She was the embodiment of elegance with a contagious zest for life. She was a loving, devoted wife of 50 years to Phil Sheets Sr. Their love was an inspiration to everyone around them, radiating joy and love to all who were lucky to have been a part of their lives. She was wonderful, dutiful mother of three children and a magnificent active grandmother of 12. She graduated from South Side High School, Fort Wayne and Stephens College, Columbia, Mo. She served in Junior League of Fort Wayne, Placida Harbour Club, and loved attending The Chapel. Her hobbies included water aerobics, walking, bible studies, cheering for Purdue, going to the pool with her grandchildren, or attending her grandchildren's sporting events. She loved traveling with family and friends and particularly enjoyed spending time in Placida, Fla. with Phil and her friends. "Marsha will be celebrated and remembered for her smile that lit up a room and the love and joy she brought everyone she knew." She is survived by her son, Phil Sheets Jr. (Sherry) and his three children, Ty (20), Natalie (12), and Sophie (1) and two step children, Vince (10) and Blake (8); daughter, Angie Roller and her three children, Dylan (16), Andrew (14) and Reagan (11); daughter, Mindi (John) Brincefield, and her four children, Bailey (20), McKenna (16), Blake (7), and Addison (6). "Marsha not only deeply enriched the lives of her family with her love, warmth, and altruism; she also had many friends and acquaintances that she touched deeply with her love and support." Memorial service is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road South, Fort Wayne (IN 46814), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at The Chapel.
