

Martha J. Cox, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Parkview Hospital. Born May 1, 1930 in Fort Wayne, she worked for Wayne Knitting Mill as a seamstress. She was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and volunteered at Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and also, Parkview Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed doll collecting and spending time with friends and family. Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Cox; daughter, Michelle Cox; son, Doug (Jan) Cox; daughter, Natalie (Tom) Kaminski; longtime friend, Jennifer Meehan; five grandchildren, Nathan Picklesimer, Hannah (Ron) Heaslet, Andrew (Joci) Plank, Christina Kaminski and Megan Plank; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mack and Dorothy McDevitt. Funeral Service is 2:00 pm Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane with calling two hours prior to service. Visitation is also 4-6 pm Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at the church. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to Gethsemane Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Association.
