Martha Lou Flanigan

It is with deep love and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Martha Lou Flanigan, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, who passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on September 1, 1937, Martha lived a full and meaningful life defined by her love for family and her passion for real estate. As a dedicated Realtor, she found great joy in helping others find not just houses, but homes - a reflection of her caring spirit and belief in the importance of family and belonging.

She was the loving wife of the late Michael Patrick Flanigan, with whom she shared a beautiful life and family.

Martha especially cherished the time spent at their home in Naples, Florida, where she created countless memories with her children, grandchildren and countless extended family. Her presence brought comfort, her wisdom offered guidance, and her love touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children: Kathleen (Steve) Rumple, Patrick (Stacy) Flanigan, Erin Flanigan, Laura Flanigan, and Joseph (Terri) Flanigan; her beloved grandchildren: Lindsey Carroll, Adam Rumple, Blake Baxter, Maureen Richards, and Michael Flanigan; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Patrick Flanigan; her sisters, Marge Herbst and Joan Roth; and her great-grandson, Joseph Carroll.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana. All who knew and loved Martha are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in her memory to Erin's House for Grieving Children in Fort Wayne, Indiana - an organization that reflects her lifelong love for children and family.

Martha will be remembered always for her strength, grace, warmth, and the deep love she had for her family.
