

Mary Ann Schoenemann, 81, formerly of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 8, 2015 at River Terrace Retirement Community, Bluffton. She was born May 18, 1934 to the late Clarence and Lucile Strater. Mary Ann graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1952. She married Paul F. Schoenemann on November 12, 1955 in Fort Wayne, and he survives.
She and her husband were lifelong farmers. Mrs. Schoenemann was also a rural mail carrier at the Roanoke Post Office for over 20 years until she retired in 2008. She was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne. Mary Ann was a longtime member Minerva and Amicitia Extension Homemaker Clubs. She also enjoyed baking, gardening, and sharing in the love and lives of her family and friends.
Additional survivors include a daughter LuAnn (Gary) Ambriole; two sons Michael (Janet) Schoenemann, and Bruce (Mary) Schoenemann, all of Roanoke; five grandchildren Joe (Kelly) Schoenemann, Yoder, Amy Ambriole, Ft. Wayne, Emily (Toby) Kramer, Wapakoneta, OH, Andy (Catie) Ambriole, Roanoke, and Ashley (Brent) Reed, Nappanee; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Bredemeyer, Ft. Wayne, and Marcia Partridge, Indianapolis.
Memorial Services Wednesday 1 P.M. August 12, 2015 at River Terrace Retirement Community 400 Caylor Blvd. Bluffton, Ind. Graveside services Wednesday 10 A.M. St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church or Family Life Care Hospice. Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Winchester Rd. in charge of arrangements.
