Mary Jo Baughman, 94, passed away on July 29, 2018. She was born in Benton County, Indiana on April 3, 1924, the daughter of the late Edward and Maggie Nichols. She attended International Business College, and spent 43 years of marriage with her late husband, Arthur Baughman. Mary Jo worked at the Charter Place as a bookkeeper for 20 years until her retirement. Mary Jo enjoyed volunteering at Science Central, she was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Society, and an active member of St. Joe United Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons; Fred Baughman, and James (Kimberlee) Baughman; and grandson, Brett Baughman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Baughman; brothers, Odie Nichols,Fred Nichols, and Charles E. Nichols; sisters, Etta Griffith, Nettie Slattery, Nellie Livingston, and Della Ross. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 2pm with calling 1 hour prior at St. Joe United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46835. Visitation will take place from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joe United Methodist Church.
