Mary Ellen Cooper, 70, of Fort Wayne, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 21, 2014. She was born June 9, 1943. Surviving are her son John (Stephanie) Thomas; daughters Leola Thomas and Yolanda (Mark) Sanders; sister; Katie Gebhart; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Cooper; sister, Ruth Ryan; and mother Kathleen Bickford. Funeral service is at 10:30am noon on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St. calling will be on Tuesday 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. Burial at Highland Park Cemetery.
