Mary Louise (Gant) Dailey was born on October 28, 1935 in Benton, Illinois to the late Carl Austin Gant and Ruth Mae (Cook) Gant. She passed from this life at the age of 86 on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
She worked as a Chemist as Sherwin Williams Paint Company for many years. She shared her life with twelve siblings. Mary loved to sew, crochet, read, shop, work puzzles, garden. When shopping, she was like the “energized bunny.”
Mary leaves to cherish many memories to her sons, Robert (Carmen) Dailey and James Dailey; four grandchildren, Kristi Johnson, Raina (Tim) Hogedorn, Aurora Dailey and Rosalyn Broadnax; a special great-granddaughter, Alexis Dailey whom cared for Mary during her final years; and nine other great-grandchildren; Mary shared a special relationship with her sister, Alice Michaels. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Mary was also preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, James Dailey in 1983.
Gone but never forgotten.
