Mary M. Hirschmann

MARY MAUD HIRSCHMANN, 92, of Fort Wayne, died on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Arbor Glen Retirement Community. Born Jan. 31, 1922, at Crooked Lake, Steuben County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Lena May (Wiggins) and Martin Anton Wiedman. She was a factory worker for General Electric Co. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Home Ec. Club, Elex Club, Y-Sos-Cen-O, Christian Women United and volunteered for R.S.V.P. League of the Blind and Lutheran Hospital. Surviving are her son, Paul (Barbara) Hirschmann of Fort Wayne; daughter, Emilie (David) Krone of Fort Wayne; and grandsons, Robert C. Krone and D. Jason Krone, both of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hirschmann, in 1987; and two brothers, Donald E., in 1987, and Floyd T. Wiedman, in 1929. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to R.S.V.P., Heartland Hospice or donor's choice.
