Tom, I've very much missed seeing you and Mary in church, and I'm sure you miss her very much. I'm sorry I won't get to see her when we resume in-house worship March 7, but I hope you will be able to come.

We were so sorry to hear that Mary had passed. The last time we saw you, you said she was not doing well, but we didn’t realize how ill she was. We enjoyed being neighbors for 10 years.

I am so sad to hear of Mary’s passing. She was a wonderful friend to me for so many years. We met in graduate school and both taught at USF. I’ve learned many things from her about teaching and about life. The most outstanding thing about Mary, in my opinion, is how beautifully she took care of her family. Mary, I will miss you so much. ❤️❤️❤️

John and I have fond memories of visits to Fort Wayne. Mary was a warm and welcome supporter of my work and kind enough to invite me to speak to her students. Her remarkable talents and concern for teaching and learning shaped careers for her family and her students. We are deeply saddened by her loss, but Mary’s deep commitment to her work, family, and friends will keep her memory safe in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Our deepest condolences to Tom and all the Hufford Family.
With Love,
Ellen and John Dittmer
