

Mary Kaye Ruth, 68, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at Homeview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, IN. She was born April 11, 1953 in Grand Rapids, MI, the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Ruth.
Mary Kaye graduated from Madison Heights High School in Anderson, IN in 1971. She began her career working alongside her father Charles for Marsh grocery stores and later earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University. Mary Kaye was a Certified Public Accountant and worked as a controller in the trucking industry for much of her adult life. In her later years, she was a sorority House Director at Indiana University and Butler University. Mary Kaye was a devout Catholic all of her life. She taught Sunday school, helped with Festival Accounting and volunteered at the church for many years. Mary Kaye was an avid reader and enjoyed Danielle Steel books, but her true passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her eldest brother, 1st Lt. Terry A. Ruth; and her beloved sister, Diane M. Hoover.
Mary Kaye is survived by her children, Terri K. Pritchard of Columbus, IN; Jonathon A. Pritchard (Samantha) of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Sharon (James) Abel of Cleveland, OH, Thomas (Lorinda) Ruth of Schertz, TX, Gary (Cheryl) Ruth of Waxhaw, NC; grandson Jackson A. Pritchard, and granddaughter Gwynevere D. Mathis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (10700 Aboite Center Road Fort Wayne, IN), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
