Mary L. Peters

MARY LOUISE (SANDERS) PETERS, 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, and FREDERICK RICHARD PETERS 80, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001. Mary was born on March 19, 1921, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Novella Belle and George Henry Sanders. Frederick was born on April 17, 1921 in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Bertha and Otto Theodore Peters. Both were graduates of South Side High School (Class of 1939.) Married on April 19, 1941, they shared 60 years of happiness. Frederick served in the Navy in World War II and was employed by Rea Magnet Wire in Fort Wayne for 41 years. He loved to fish and bowl. Mary was retired from positions at Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and Parkview Memorial Hospital. She loved to quilt. After retirement, they relocated first to Florida and then in 1985 to the Seattle, Wash. area. Frederick is survived by one brother, Dick Peters of Fort Wayne. They both are survived by two daughters, Susan Farid of Palos Hills, Ill. and Rebecca Quist of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren, Natalie and Lauren Quist, and Alia and Freddie Farid; also many nieces and nephews. A graveside service is 11 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
