Obituary of Mary Joan Quillin
Mary J. Quillin was 86 years of age when she passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. Born in Chicago, Ill. in 1935, she lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana most of her adult life. Mary was a loving wife and mother, who valued her family, faith, and friends. Some of her happiest times were spent with extended family and getting together with friends, she had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and have a good time. She was an active volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church where she was a member for over 50 years. Mary lived an active life enjoying golf, tennis, and bridge. Mary was predeceased by her late husband of 59 years, Dick, her parents Frank and Gertrude (Tragnitz) Bella and her siblings Ronnie, Joe, and John Bella and Phyllis Hassel. Surviving are her brother Frank Bella (Maureen) and Sister-in laws Nancy and Carol Bella and sons, Mike (Lucy) Quillin of Nashville, Tenn., John (Lynn) Quillin of Boston, Mass. and Steven (Sheila) Quillin of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Tim, Christine, Shane, Jessica, Jack and Jake. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m., July 30, 2021, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 5 to 7 p.m., July 29th, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 Dupont Road, with a Rosary service from 6:30 to 7:00. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to St Vincent’s de Paul Society.
