Mary K. (Kathy) Sturm, 72, of Leo, IN, passed away on May 13,2026 at her residence. Born Oct. 3, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. Muckle Sr. and Leola C. (McAdoo) Muckle. She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Sturm, of Leo, her sister, Gloria Jean Doering, of Fort Wayne, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William Ross Muckle, brother Charles A Muckle Jr. and her parents.
She was a graduate of Marion High School, Marion, IN, and Ball State University, Muncie, IN. She was a retired employee of Lincoln Financial Group, Fort Wayne, IN. She was also previously employed by Medical Protective and the Waterfield Mortgage Company. She also worked for several years as a newspaper reporter for a few Indiana newspapers.
She loved spreading the gospel of her Savior, Jesus Christ, wherever she went. She also loved photography, flower gardening, and genealogy research. She was a member of Cedar Creek Church, in Leo, IN.
A graveside service will be on May 19, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Eel River Cemetery, in Churubusco, Indiana.
Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, or Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic.
