Maureen D. Kearney

Maureen Kearney, 66, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was a native and lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. Maureen graduated from Bishop Luers High School and went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Maureen had a passion for creating beautiful stained glass pieces and also mastered every other creative art she encountered. She was the most loving, honest, kind and selfless daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend to those who were lucky enough to be touched by her grace. Surviving are her loving husband of 42 years, Dennis Kearney of Fort Wayne, IN; daughters, Andrea (Derek) Schmitz of Chicago, IL; Lesley (Nick) Fetting of Milwaukee, WI; beloved granddaughters, Avery and Erin Fetting, and Mae Schmitz; parents Maurice and Dolores Ehinger; siblings Gary (Carrie) Ehinger, Karen VanCleave, Abby Ehinger, Tim Ehinger; many loved nieces and nephews. Maureen was preceded in death by her brother Randy Ehinger. Service is 4:00 pm, Wednesday August 15, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling Wednesday from 1-4 pm.
