Maxine L. McKnight, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was born on September 17, 1930 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Frederick and Margaret (Cole) Brown. She worked for the State of Indiana as a job developer in the employment office. She enjoyed writing and playing bingo. Surviving family include her son, Dave (Cathy) McKnight; siblings, Fred Brown, Steve (Jama) Brown, Norm (Debbie) Brown; grandchild, Loren McKnight, step grandchild, Dustin LaRowe; niece and nephew, Warren and Gail Brown. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her brother, Stanley Brown. A funeral service will be 11:00 am on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Ft. Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, December 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the League for the Blind and Disabled.
