I worked with Melanie for several years in the sewing center here at ESARC as Melanie's trainer. I was supposed to teach Melanie how to sew but I think that she taught me. She was a fast, accurate sewer and I hoped someday I could be as good as her. She amazed me with her sunny disposition, nicknames for everyone and her friendliness. I miss her much and will always remember her hats and smiles.

Bonnie, I am so sorry for your loss. Melanie was a ray of sunshine for me during our Westfield days - and she was my inspiration to become a Special Education teacher. Melanie nicknamed me “Cher” within a minute of meeting her. She was so loved and I know that you miss her. She is your guardian angel now.

My sympathy to you, Bonnie. Melanie was my little sister Marias best friend when they were children. I remember Melanies laugh and her love of treats. I also remember Melanie telling me Maria
was her best friend when my little sister passed in 2014. Melanie was a real jewel and will always be remembered by many for her goodness. May she rest in peace and thank you, Bonnie, for your and your parents wonderful care of Melanie.
