Michael was a man who met life with steady effort and quiet determination. A hard-working presence to those who knew him, he built a long and dependable career in maintenance at Slater Steel, where he was employed for 30 years. Skilled with his hands and attentive to detail, he was also known as an excellent tile layer—work that reflected both patience and pride in doing things well.
Beyond his work, Michael carried a spirit of adventure that found its truest expression on the water. He loved being on the water and riding his boats, embracing the freedom and calm that came with time spent afloat.
Michael is survived by his partner, Donna Takacs; step-son, Daniel (Lilly) Roberts; step-grandchildren, Payton and Lidan; brother, Duane Didion; three sisters, Candice (Jerry) Hatfield, Linda (Glenn) Bryan, and Carol (Gary) Edmonson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to Angola Humane Society in honor of Mike.
A private memorial will be held at a later date.,
