Michael attended Bishop Luers High School and St Francis College where he studied Graphic Design.
Michael was married to Laura (Brown) Lapp for 28 years.
Michael had a passion and a gift for giving, making people feel welcome and comfortable and he never felt complete unless he made you smile. He was a man of God, and he knew God’s purpose for him and lived his life that way. Michael was a talented musician and knowing that this was a special gift bestowed upon him, he constantly nurtured it and loved to share it with as many people as possible. He has played for hundreds of thousands of people over his 35 plus year music career with bands such as The Hush, The Agency, Sugar Shot and most recently The Greys just to name a few. You could see his joy on stage watching the joy he brought to others.
Although Michael was a talented musician and artist, his true passion was his family. There was no greater joy for him than spending time with his wife, four children and four grandchildren. His face would light up when he spoke about them, and he did that often. Michael was a gentle soul who has passed this trait on to his children and grandchildren, leaving this world a better place.
Thank you, Michael, for all the love and joy you spread over your life and the thousands of lives you have touched and made better. As you met your maker, we know that it was with the words “Welcome home my loving and faithful servant."
He is survived by his wife, Laura Lapp; children, Tesia (Josh) Watson, Logan (Emily) Lapp, Margaret Lapp, and Emma Lapp; grandchildren, Oliver, Vivian, Harper and Cora; siblings, Ron Lapp and Mark (Tedra) Lapp and his faithful companion Theo; mother, Mary Ann Ranly; and many nieces and nephews.
