

Michael was born in Philadelphia and was raised in Collingdale, PA. He worked in construction. He followed in his father's footsteps, as well as his five uncles, two in the Navy, two in the Army and two in the Marine Corps, and joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Combat Veteran in Desert Storm. He served honorably and was very proud of his service in the Marine's. He was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and played Monsignor Bonner Ice Hockey. Surviving are his children, Michael Patrick Kane III, Madi Marie Kane, both of Fort Wayne, and Kelsie (Ben) Stoneking of CO; parents, Michael Patrick Kane, Sr., 7 year U.S. Marine Corps Combat Veteran with service in Vietnam and retired Collingdale Police Officer and Dorothy Kane of Boothwyn, PA; sisters, Chrissy (Larry) Buchanan of Fort Wayne, IN and Reen (Steve) Fricker of West Chester, PA; brother, Sean (Amy) Kane of Havertown, PA; and 3 nephews and 4 nieces. Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 14 years, Chrissy (Campagna) Kane.
Chrissy was born in Darby, PA, and grew up in Folcroft. She worked in management with Hallmark Home Mortgage in Fort Wayne. She attended Temple University and Coastal Carolina University. Before moving to Fort Wayne, Chrissy was a beautician. She and Michael were both devoted and loving parents, children, and friends. They will be greatly missed. Surviving are her son, Michael Patrick Kane III and Madi Marie Kane both of Fort Wayne; mother, Cathy Campagna of Folcroft, PA; father, Robert (Paula) Campagna and their children Valerie and Stephen; son, Michael Patrick Kane III and Madi Marie Kane both of Fort Wayne; brother, Bobby Campagna of Folcroft, PA. Chrissy was preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Michael Patrick Kane JR. A Celebration of Life Gathering is at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Thursday, August 16, 2018, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:30 am in St. Maximilian Kolbe Church, 15 E. Pleasant Grove Road, West Chester, PA 19382 with an hour and a half visitation prior to the Mass.
