Mike was born November 18, 1976, in South Bend, Indiana, to Lon E. Westfall and Betty Jo (Parker) Westfall. At the age of 18, he moved to Fort Wayne to attend college and made Fort Wayne his home.
Mike was a journeyman sheet metal worker before beginning a career as a truck driver. For approximately the last seven years, he worked as a professional truck driver, most recently with Penske Logistics.
Mike enjoyed collecting football and baseball cards and was an avid Peyton Manning fan. It didn’t matter what team Peyton played for—wherever Peyton went, that was the team Mike rooted for.
Music was also a big part of Mike’s life. His favorite band was Metallica, and in 2025 he attended his very first rock concert when he finally got the chance to see Metallica live.
Mike and his wife, Kim, were married in December 2005 and shared 20 years of marriage. They enjoyed camping together, often with Mike’s best friend, Nelson. Mike loved sitting around a campfire and was just as happy building one in the driveway, where some of his favorite times were spent making s’mores with his grandchildren, Thea and Atticus. In May 2026, Mike and Kim took their first cruise together.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kimberly “Kim” Westfall; his son, Logan Westfall; stepson, Jacob LeSure; grandchildren, Thea and Atticus; his mother, Betty Jo (Parker) Westfall; brothers, Brian (Shannon) Westfall and Mathew (Sheila) Westfall; and mother-in-law, Diane Hall.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lon E. Westfall, and father-in-law, Bobby Hall.
