Mildred A. "Millie" Walker Gillette

Mildred A. “Millie” Gillette, 96, of Fort Wayne, went home in the loving arms of Jesus, on Sunday, Mar. 3, 2013 at her home. She was born Mar. 27, 1916 in Allen County and retired 1966 after 15 years from Eckrich. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling, making crafts & playing card games with her grandkids & great grandkids. She was a loving, thoughtful, kind person and enjoyed being with her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Bernard, of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren; James (Tina) Winchester, Tamra (Stuart) Stier, Ricky (Kathy) Winchester, Vicky (Mike) Bodkins, Lori Walker, Gary (Diann) Bernard and Cindy (Joe) Dawson; 25 great grandchildren; and 19 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E., 2003; son, Donald L. Davis 1994, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Thursday Mar. 7, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4643 Gaywood Dr. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Funeral Home, Wayne St. Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in Concordia Cemetery.
