LAGRANGE — Mildred M. ( Scheiman) Harris, 93, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at Lifecare Center of LaGrange in LaGrange. Mrs. Harris had been a typist with Dreibelbiss Title Co. for 14 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Choral Society, Magnavox Choir and the Sweet Adelines. She was born in Fort Wayne to Herbert L. and Frieda L. Scheiman. Surviving are a daughter, Karen S. Waterson of Junction City, Oregon; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph S. Harris; a son, Timothy D Scheiman; a daughter, Lillian "Susie" Cook; a sister, Marilyn R. Kiefer; and a brother, Clarence Harris. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 797 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, with calling from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of NE Indiana. D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
