So saddened to hear about your mother. She will always hold a special place in my heart and in our family. I have such sweet memories of sitting and listening to the grown ups talk about the good ole days.  Mama and daddy (Robert and Armethia) and Imogene were more than cousins, they were also friends.  As a result,  the children also had a close bond.  Enjoyed picking blackberries, running on the "slate dumps",  campmeeting  and late night storytelling  at sleepovers.  Too many of the best have left us, but only briefly.  We will be blessed by their smiling faces on that resurrection morning.  We have this wonderful hope that Daddy & Mama  liked to share....  1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Grandma - it's so hard to imagine you not being around to tell us you'll see us tomorrow "Lord willing," you will "talk at us later," or sing us happy birthday, give us huge hugs, make us good luck meals complete with applesauce cake, and to just make us feel so loved every. single. day. 

You are a very special person - you didn't know a stranger, loved your family unconditionally, and were genuinely tickled by the little things in life. We will terribly miss your smile, your laugh, your hugs, and everything about you.

I was blessed to have Imogene for my Aunt. She had a way of making everyone feel like they were super special to her.  She was small in physical build - thus earning her the endearing name of 
"Aunt Lima Bean" by the silly Wiggins girls - but her inner strength was jumbo sized.  I have so many sweet memories beginning with visits to TN - how much fun for us to see the farm animals, swim in a swimming hole, bathe in a metal tub outside and even use a chamber pot at night!  Then she moved to Fort Wayne and we had the chance to live close to here on Anthony and Bowser - I had my first taxi ride with Imogene when she walked down to Rogers Market to get groceries and then took a taxi back to the house - I thought that was really cool! I remember many Saturday afternoons going over to the house on Michigan Ave. where the grown ups sat around and visited in the living room while we kids were doing ??? who knows what, one thing  I remember was that there was always a pot of beans cooking and a pan of white cornbread - not that sweet yellow kind that they cook in the North!  Imogene welcomed my Jeff into the family - even if he couldn't make a good cup of coffee - and you made my children feel loved too.  I am thankful she is no longer struggling to breathe and she is enjoying her new home in heaven.  I am sure she is enjoying being in her Lord's presence and is busy loving on her family that made the journey ahead of her - give my momma a hug.  I'll be looking forward to the time when she greets me with one of her big  hugs when I cross over.  She will be sorely missed here.

I've always believed that people never really die, their souls are just born again into the Spirit realm where the body is no longer a burden. 

I found this poem many years ago and have always thought it beautiful. It describes the sentiment perfectly.  

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush

For someone who meant so much and loved by all she knew.
