She was born in Fort Wayne on April 9, 1924 to Charles and Martha (Soule) Hallien.
Lucy graduated from Fort Wayne Central High School in 1942. Following two years of college, her working career began in Chicago in the mid-1940's. Before returning to Fort Wayne at W.T. Grant, Tower Personnel, and Paul Revere Insurance. She was an active member of the former Trinity United Methodist Church, the American Business Association, the Women's Life Insurance Society, and the Red Hat Society. After retiring in 1986, Lucy volunteered at the Bloomingdale Food Bank.
Lucy was preceded in passing by her parents, her brother Dale, and her husband Ernest L. Moore. She is survived by her son, James (Deborah) of Fort Wayne, her granddaughter, Heather, of Chicago, Illinois, and numerous Hallien cousins.
Per her request, visitation will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825 on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A brief graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, in LaGrange, Indiana on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM.
