Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A Faithful woman of God, she was a member of Taylor Street Pentecostal Church of God. Mildred retired from FWCS, after more than 15 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, walking, birdwatching, shopping trips with her kids, but mostly, just being together with her family.
Mildred is survived by her children, Becky (Chuck) Fitch, Michael (Terry) Richardson, Kay (Gary) Nixon, and Darlene Jackson; grandchildren, Dawn Miller, Holly (John) Allgaier, Daniel (Alisa) Richardson, Eric (Ashlee) Bowser, Chastity (Todd) Nixon-Siebert, Chad (Dezziraee) Nixon, Elizabeth (Luke) Hamilton, and Jason (Brandie) Morgan; and many great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her soulmate, and husband of more than 57 years, Ted Richardson; sisters, Margie, and Mae; and grandson, Shaun Bowser.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, with calling from 11:30am, until the time of service. Pastor Mark Saylor will be officiating. Burial will take place in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
