Mildred had been a resident of Lexington for the past 10 years to be near her family.
She worked at Wayne Candies of Fort Wayne for 15 years. Mildred loved spending time with her family and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.
Mildred is survived by her children, Brenda Cobb, Tammy (Roger “Bud”) Cobb, both of Lancaster, KY; Mark (Cassie) Shroyer of South Bend, IN; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Danny” Shroyer October, 22, 2022; her son, Larry Horner and his wife, Linda Horner; son-in-law, Rick Cobb; six brothers: Aileen Collins, Frances Collins, Fred Collins, Carroll Collins, Hubert Collins, John Collins, and six sisters: Gracie Collins, Elsie Collins, Mary Collins, Pearl Collins, Nellie Collins, and Emma Lou Collins.
Funeral service will be 12:30 pm on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation two hours prior. Committal and burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
