Miriam E. “Midge” DeBolt, 93, Huntington, died November 19, 2025. She was a former resident of Decatur, born July 20, 1932 in Jay County, and a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne. Midge worked for the US Government in Panama during the Korean War when her husband, Marion, was stationed there. She also worked as a secretary for the Jay County School Corp. for 11 years while raising her family. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Reef, Geneva; 3 sons, Joseph (Gina) Algonquin, IL, Robert (Brenda) Sanibel, FL and Philip (Lois) Roanoke, IN; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion and 2 siblings, James Weaver and Betty King. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
