Obituary of Myra Ann Kidd
Myra Ann Kidd, 83, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Heritage Pointe of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born January 23, 1939 in Fort Wayne, the daughter of Elvin and Etheldra Rehklau. Myra graduated from North Side High School in 1957 and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Purdue University. She enjoyed staying in touch with her lifelong school buddies. Myra worked at the family business, Reliable Stores, Rehklau Reality, Reliable Oil and R&R Distributions. She was also a Speech Pathologist for 36 years at nursing and rehabilitation facilities in northern Indiana, and also had her own private practice. Myra was a member of Central Ministries Chapel Ridge and enjoyed attending Bible study groups and playing cards. She enjoyed talking about her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild and was proud of each one. Myra is survived by her sons, Scott Gilliom, Steven (Cheryl) Gilliom, both of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Alexander (Cassondra) Gilliom of New Haven, IN, Amanda (Grant) Davis of Big Long Lake, IN; great-grandson, Otto Gilliom of New Haven; and brother, Richard Rehklau Fulton, MO. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Rehklau. A memorial service to honor Myra's life and legacy will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, with visitation beginning at 3:00 pm, until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Central Ministries Chapel Ridge or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
