Nancy Lou Lent, 82, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Parkview Randallia. Born January 27, 1939 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Donald Sr. and Jeanette E. (Lapp) Craighead. A graduate of Central Catholic High School, she retired from MetLife with over 15 years of service. In 1958, she married her first husband, David Earl McGuire, and together they adopted their sons through Catholic Charities. A wonderful homemaker, she took care of her sons and made sure they had everything they needed. A devout Christian, she loved attending bible studies on Wednesdays at Brentwood Park. Nancy enjoyed baking and made the most amazing cakes. Surviving are her sons, David Patrick McGuire of Fort Wayne and Jon Michael McGuire of Silver Lake, Ind.; four grandchildren, Kyle, Chase, April, and Melanie; and siblings, Sharon Dustin of Warsaw, Ind., Donald (Kay) Craighead Jr. and Barbara Norris, both of Fort Wayne. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, David Earl McGuire; second husband, Gary Lent; and sister, Joni Hall. Per Nancy’s request, there are no services at this time.
