Naomi Jean Reese

Naomi Jean Reese, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 10, 1925 and was the youngest of 13 children, daughter of the late Edward and Mary Etta (Talbert) Spangler. She retired from Sears Service Department in 1981. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star and was also a member of the Belle Vista Pinochle Club for 58 years. She will be greatly missed by her family. Surviving are her children, Judy Kell of Fort Wayne, Connie (Ron) Saalfrank of Chapin, SC, and Daniel (Pamela)Reese of Churubusco, IN; sister Marcella Hollis, of Muncie, IN; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Trenton Reese and 2 grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 3:00pm followed by a funeral service at 6:00pm at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. A graveside service will be held at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, IN on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 1:00pm. Preferred memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Program.
