

He graduated from New Haven High School in New Haven, IN, in 1965 and attended IPFW where he received certification in special areas of manufacturing. Neal and Jean were married in the Presbyterian Church in Muncie, IN, on July 10, 1976. They were married 48 years.
Neal loved swimming, golfing, gardening and landscaping. He learned to water ski while vacationing at Higgins Lake, Michigan with family members.
Neal and his wife enjoyed spending time at Long Boat Key and Bradenton, Florida where Jean’s parents had a retirement home.
He loved making trips to Muncie to visit the Zooks and the many family members who gathered often for special events. “Good Times” were always shared.
Neal was employed by International Harvester of Fort Wayne. He worked in the purchasing department until the company moved to Ohio. He then worked at Tokheim Industry of Fort Wayne, where he was a Senior Buyer until the company dissolved in the 1990’s. Neal finished his career at NEMCO Food Equipment in Hicksville, OH.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean E. (Zook) Pape, of Muncie, IN; a sister, Carol (Pape) Leas; sister-in-law, Diana (Holom) Pape, both of Fort Wayne; Neal is also survived by his wife’s twin sister, Jane L. Zook, of Muncie, IN. Neal has 5 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
