I only recently began working with Nick and unfortunately had not yet met him in person - but I was very impressed with his level of maturity, intelligence and upbeat demeanor. Nick was born just 2 years before my 2 sons so I cannot imagine how devastating this loss is for your family. Nick, rest in peace, I will miss you.

Mr. and Mrs. Weiskittel and family,

There are no words for such an unimaginable loss and my heart breaks for you and your family. Nick and I became close during his time at Nationwide and kept in contact after he switched companies. His smile was infectious and his humor was unmatched. I will miss him deeply and the world won’t be the same without him in it. My deepest condolences for your family’s loss.

Mr. and Mrs. Weiskittel,

My heart breaks for you and the rest of Nick's family at this tragic time. I met Nick in political science classes at UK and almost instantly found a new friend. It's an extremely rare privilege to meet such a wise, kind, and great man. The world is unquestionably worse off without Nick. My deepest condolences for your loss, and you all will be in my prayers.

I started attending Aboite elementary in 4th grade where Nick quickly became one of my first friends. He seemed to always be so intrigued with others and he truly cared about the people around him while having such a solid sense of who he was already at such a young age.

I remember our daily middle school phone calls where Kiki was always a big topic of conversation. I still envision him with that long curly mop head of hair. He still has the same smile he did 20 years ago.

Our lives eventually took different paths and we grew apart over the years. I can’t imagine the pain and heartbreak all of his family members and close loved ones are experiencing during this time. The world truly lost an amazing and impactful soul. Thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Weiskittel, I am deeply sorry for your loss. The picture below is one we took before our German 101 final. He became when of my first friends at UK and he was so welcoming. It didn't matter where we would go, everyone was always happy to see Nick. His smile, intellect, and charisma was infectious. I always cherish my time with him.
