Nina Hrebenick

Nina Hrebenick, age 95 of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Nina was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Michael Hrebenick; her mother, Vera Harkuszewski; her stepfather, Wladimir Harkuszewski; her sister, Zoja Kowal; and her brothers, Vitali Harkuszewski and Anataoli Harkuszewski. She is survived by her loving daughter, Lydia West (Thomas); and her cherished granddaughters, Theodora Vivian West and Alexandra Nina West Denholm (Wilder).

Nina also leaves behind her devoted friends Bette Sue Rowe, Dee and Scott Roberts and Linda Robbins who were constant sources of support and companionship.

Nina was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, having fled from Ukraine in 1951. She was a devoted family woman who always placed her loved ones at the center of her life. Her radiant spirit, laugh and unwavering love illuminated the lives of those around her. Nina’s legacy of kindness, perseverance, and passion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
