NINA KOWTUN, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 11, 2020, at Saint Anne Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born in Ukraine on July 3, 1931, she emigrated to the United States in 1950 along with her late husband, Rev. Alex Kowtun and infant daughter. Nina owned and operated Nina’s Beauty Salon located on Decatur Rd. in Fort Wayne for many years until she retired. Survivors are her son, Pete Kowtun; daughter, Anna Kowtun Swearingen; son-in-law, Larry Swearingen of Fort Wayne; and granddaughter Kristina Swearingen and her husband Travis Montembeault of Noblesville, Indiana. A private burial will be held at Lindenwood Cemetery.
