Norena graduated from Elida High School, and her sense of adventure led her to enter a career as a yeoman in the United States Navy, and by the time she completed her 20th year in the Navy she retired as an E-9, Chief Petty Officer. Norena was not a fan of colder climates, which led her to spending her retirement years in Florida but returned up north to be close to her son. Lane is very grateful for the time they got to spend together and wishes to thank Bethlehem Woods Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care they provided during the last couple of years of Norena’s life.
Norena is survived by her son Lane (Audra) Guy, her grandson Ian Guy, her brothers John (Marty) Anders, Jim Anders, and her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence “Bunk”, and Betty Anders. Norena was also preceded in death by her oldest grandson, Jacob Edward Guy.
