Norma L. Hughes

Norma L. Hughes, 73, of Fort Wayne passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012. She was born April 14, 1938 in Yoder, IN to the late Walter and Florence (Scott) Rinehart. She worked for Kresge Warehouse for 21 years before retiring and also as an underwriting secretary for Brotherhood Mutual Insurance. She enjoyed dancing, ice skating, traveling, walking, many outdoor activities, and taking care of her family and home. Surviving family include her husband, Bob Hughes of Fort Wayne, children, Steve (Gail) Gronau of Yoder, Denise (Keith) Alexander of Fort Wayne; step-children, Rita Kothman of Texas, Robert Hughes of Florida, Renita Hughes of Fort Wayne, siblings, Betty Sizemore and Donna (Chuck) Johnson of Yoder, Carol (Paul) Henry of Fort Wayne; 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 6 step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded death by her son, Brian Gronau, and brother, Elwood “Dale” Rinehart.

A funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, April 6, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Ossian. Memorials may be made to Living Faith Missionary Church.
