Ollie Perkins, age 85, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. He was born January 4, 1937 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late William and Lula Perkins. Ollie spent his entire career in manufacturing, retiring from Ford Meter Box in 1999 after 33 years of service. He loved fly fishing, playing bingo and Phase 10, watching WWE, and was passionate about the Cincinnati Reds! He was a man who could eat turkey sandwiches, tootsie rolls, Hershey bars, and Dr. Thunder and never gain an ounce.
Ollie is survived by the love of his life, Sandra Sue; children, Eddie and Wenona Perkins of Fort Wayne, David Perkins and fiancee Rae Collins, Teresa and Leon Case, Rick and Rita Perkins; former daughter-in-law and close family friends, Vicki and Ben Benfer; grandchildren, Connor Perkins and fiancee, Cas Ream, Tanisha and Zach Funk, Ashtenne and Curtis Reed, Tara and Keegan Winniger, and Justin McCurdy; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Angela Perkins; granddaughter, Jarolyn Perkins; two sisters, and two brothers.
