I was an orderly in physical therapy at Parkview Memorial when Orbin was there in the 1970s. He was one of the funniest people I've ever met.

I hated to hear about your dad. The worst thing in life is losing a parent. I wish the best for you.

My sympathy to the Amburgey family during this difficult time. I hope you will find comfort in God's promise at John 11:24,25. Knowing there is a future for those we have lost in death can be very reassuring.

My fondest memory will always be being your best man at the renewal ceremony for you and Moms wedding anniversary several years ago! What an awesome day for our family! What great neighbors for many, many years. Orb would just crack us up with his stories and his little sayings. Sure do miss the good old days with our neighbors across the creek. I can still picture him sitting out back on the back patio hollering at Judy when she was mowing the lawn. These are terrific memories. He will be missed. God Bless Judy, Doug, Marty, Brad.

Some of the best memories I have from my childhood is when you guys would come & stay at Mom's for a few days. You could hear Uncle Orb's laugh everywhere. I also remember his deep love of Nehi Peach pop and how he would buy it by the case to take home because he couldn't buy it up in Indiana. Uncle Orb's life was filled with so much pain, at least he is at peace now, pain free. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Love you boys and Aunt Judy so much, wish we could be with you.

I will always remember Uncle Orb's quick wit and our visits to Harlan  as kids oh the good ol days Hugs and prayers with all of you !.

Most sincere condolences from the Forman family. He created quite the clan  which is a legacy that will continue on.  May you all find peace as Orb takes to his eternal rest !

Dear Judy, Doug, Marty, Penny, Bo, Monica & Lauren,
     I am so sorry to hear of your recent loss. As I was scrolling through the photo gallery, I couldn't help finding myself smiling.  His smile is infectious! Knowing his sons, obviously that sense of humor was definitely inherited. The photos also show the love and pride he had in his family. He will be dearly missed. Orb and Judy were our neighbors growing up. Never a dull moment when those Amburgey boys came along. I remember how much your mom loved him and her boys.

Being I'm his niece, living near by there are too many memories to share, there's one  i liked he would pretend to play his guitar with his hands and the banjo  with his mouth, a very funny man. Orb and Judy allowed me the honor of officiating the renewal of their vows a few years ago. Presenting Orb with a Kentucky Wildcats hat as "something blue" is my fondest memory of him.  Never been a larger smile.

Orbin was the great uncle I knew the best and one of the funniest people I knew. I always loved visits with him and Aunt Judy, Doug, Marty, and Bo. He will be missed.

I had the privilege of caring for Orbin.. He called me his" Sug"short for Sugar.  I loved him dearly and will definitely miss his infectious laugh and that huge smile. My prayers and Condolences to the family especially Ms. Judy.

Orb used to call us up whenever he would catch his boys and our girls doing things they shouldn't, "Vicki do you know our kids are behind the bushes going to the bathroom?" " I saw our kids sitting in the middle of 37 waiting to see who could stay the longest." "Vicki our kids are on the roof."  You will be missed Orb, you were good neighbors and our kids had great times together. We're so sorry for your lose Doug, Marty (Penny), Bo (Monica), Lauren, Melanie.

I've got so many fond funny memories of Orb, it's hard to choose just one. In my younger days, playing in grandma and grandpa's yard, he would always get my attention. It usually ended up with me over on the front porch listening to some crazy story. I sure would love to go back to those days and listen to his southern twang and funny stories. Thank you for being such a memorable part of my childhood old friend... Heaven got an angel!
