Patricia "Pat" Lou Lydy, age 79, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away at home on Saturday, July 26, 2025 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born September 26, 1945, in Fort Wayne to the late David J. and Virginia B. (née Noble) Mills.
Pat graduated from North Side High School, Class of '63 and was very active in the Redskin Alumni Association. She attended Ball State University prior to beginning her long and illustrious career in Real Estate. Pat retired from Keller-Williams Real Estate after signing onto hospice care and wished to have the hearse pick her up following her last closing. Almost made it!
Pat is survived by her twin daughters, Pamela (Steve) Schultz and Paula (Scott) Kube; beloved grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) Kube, Mason Schultz, and Myah Kube; sister, Peggy Mills; sister-in-law, Sandra Lydy, brother-in-law, Bruce (Kathleen) Lydy, sister-in-law, Vicki (David) Haidle; nieces and nephews, Wendy Lydy, Kenny (Tara) Lydy, Kevin (Brittnee) Lydy, Heidi (Erik) Moore, Ben Haidle, Casey Haidle, Laura (Michael) Suarez, Amy Allison, Julie (Michael) Willhite, Andy (Shonda) Ankenbruck, and David (Heather) Ankenbruck; as well as 30 great-nieces and great-nephews; three great-great nieces and two great-great nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Gerry Leroy Lydy; and nephews, Christopher Lydy and Jeremy Haidle.
The funeral service is 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church - Lake Township, 7914 West Cook Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Interment at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco, Indiana, with a luncheon to immediately follow at the church. Friends and family will also be received 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 29, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.
