Patricia "Pat" Louise Milligan

Patricia Louise Milligan, 94, of Fort Wayne passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 28, 2025, at Ashton Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was blessed to have a large and supportive family spending time with her in the final days.

Pat, as she was known, was born in Van Wert, Ohio to the late Russell and Ida Weesner in 1931 and grew up on the family farm in Union Township. After graduating as Valedictorian of her high school class, she came to Indiana to stay with relatives and seek employment. She worked in the electronics industry, starting with RCA in Marion, IN, and later with ITT in Fort Wayne. Her career was interrupted when she met her late future husband on a double date with her sister, Cecilia. Pat married her late husband of 53 years, Harvey Milligan, in 1951 and soon began a large family. Later in life she worked as a clerk for the Salvation Army and developed an appreciation for the work they do.

Pat was a voracious reader and enjoyed gardening, but she was most happy spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.

Pat is survived by children, Frank Milligan of Hoagland, Robert Milligan, John Milligan, James Milligan, and Ruth Vosmeier of Fort Wayne, and David Milligan of College Park, MD; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gerald Weesner of Grabill, IN and Robert Weesner of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Cecilia Purk and George Weesner; and grandson, James Milligan.

Funeral Service is 11:00 am, on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Antioch Lutheran Church, 14908 Minnich Road, Hoagland with calling ninety minutes prior. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Friends and family will be received from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
