Patricia "Pat" Juaneta Perko, 84, passed away on April 28, 2026, in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on September 16, 1941, in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late Patrick White and Geraldine (Elliot) Gorski.
Pat met the love of her life, Richard Perko, in St. Louis, where they were married in 1963. In the years that followed, she faithfully supported Richard as his work in aerospace engineering took them throughout the Midwest. When he later accepted a position with Magnavox (and later, Raytheon) in Fort Wayne, Indiana, they made their home of over 50 years here together.
Pat had many talents and interests and took genuine pleasure in them. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, gardening, and cooking family meals from scratch, offering comfort through simple, well-loved traditions.
Pat and Richard especially cherished long car trips along the winding back country roads of rural Indiana, particularly around Shipshewana. They also delighted in antiquing together, always on the lookout for “little treasures” to add to Pat's thoughtful and eclectic collections.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Richard Perko; her daughter, Patricia "Trish" (Barry) Richhart; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Anna (Bre), Patrick (Bella), Abigail, Rachel, Micah, and Rose; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lynne Nelson; and by her grandson, Samuel.
In accordance with Pat's final wishes, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life at the Golden Years Homestead AL chapel on May 13, 2026 at 10:00am.
