She married her loving husband, Ray on December 5, 1981.
Pat worked many years as a server at Hall’s Stockyards and ten years with Lassus. She was a member of the Realtor Association where she sold many homes to family and friends. She was an avid singer, accomplished accordion player and enjoyed her daily NY crossword puzzles. Pat also enjoyed keeping up with her multiple text messages.
Pat is survived by her husband, Ray “Red” Strater; a daughter, Julie (Ryan) McComb; a son, Scott (Rindi) Strater; a daughter-in-law, Terry McComb; a sister, Cathy Brunson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Nancy Strater; grandchildren, Dustin (Alex) Webb, Kymberle Bridges, Chase (Stephanie) McComb, Sean Biberstine, Brandon (Mackenzie) Bibersine, Zack Biberstine, Adrianna Messman-McComb and Abigail Strater; several nieces and nephews; her dog, Dukie Strater and her bird, Ricky Ray.
She is preceded in death by her three sons, Chris, Jeff and Troy; and her BFF, June Kneller.
A visitation will be on Monday September 9, 2024, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home- Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A funeral will be on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home- Lakeside Park, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, at 2:00 PM, with visitation one hour prior.
