Patsy Jane (née Frantz) Matthews was 93 years of age when she passed peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2026. She was born in Jackson Township, Packerton, Indiana on February 26, 1933.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She lived a long life devoted to family, friends and God. Her faith was loving, proud and strong.
Patsy was very active in the church. She was the first secretary of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and charter member for many years. She was also involved in the Christian Women Club and a volunteer for Parkview.
She loved making cards and giving them to everyone. She also loved making cakes, doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, knitting, sewing and decorating eggs.
Most of all Patsy loved spending time with family and friends.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Elmer "Fudd" Matthews; daughter, Brenda (Terry) Dennis, and sister, Sandra (Marvin) Metzger.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Madeline Mowan; and brothers, Russel Jr., Darrell and Lloyd Frantz.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home - Lakeside Park (46805) with a visitation one hour prior to service.
