

Paul was a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne and a proud member of the community. He completed his education while enlisted in the U.S. Marines.
Prior to beginning his career, Paul honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps for five years. During his enlistment, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Marksmanship Badge. He was honorably discharged in 1967 and carried the values of service and dedication with him throughout his life.
Following his military service, Paul worked at General Electric Plant, in Fort Wayne until his retirement in 2000.
On May 13, 1967, he married the love of his life, Sharon Leach Fulghum, at Sherman Street Church of God. Together they shared 59 years of marriage and built a life centered on family and faith. They were blessed with one son, Paul Jr.
Paul enjoyed family activities and the annual Hufford Memorial Day Race Party cookouts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; his son, Paul Ray (Julie) Fulghum Jr., and grandchildren, Jacob Paul (Tessa) Fulghum and Natalie Catherine Fulghum.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Satterthwaite.
A memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home at 4 pm on Thursday, March 5, 2026, with visitation two hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stillwater Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
Paul’s life was a testament to the love he had of his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
