Pauline “Polly” Lahey, 89, of Fort Wayne passed away on Friday, June 25, 2021. Polly was born September 25, 1931, in Fort Wayne, a daughter of the late Carl and Caroline (Lauritzen) Pedersen. After graduating from Concordia High School, Polly earned her nursing degree and worked as a nurse for Parkview. She was a member at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in church choirs, bicycling, and being outdoors. Surviving family include her daughter, Claire (Stewart) Beach; two sons, Brent (Lilly) Lahey and Eric (Sarah) Lahey; two stepdaughters, Karin (Bob) Gentile and Monica (John) Shogren; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband, George Lahey; two sisters, Elsa and Nancy; and one grandchild. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 1636 St. Mary’s Ave., Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Private family entombment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
