

Paulla M. Gerding, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday September 12, 2013, at ManorCare at Summer Trace, Carmel. Born September 18, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Edwin and Clara Gerding. She attended Emmaus Lutheran grade school, and graduated from SouthSide High School and International Business College. She was employed as an administrative assistant and retired in 1980 after 38 years of service at General Electric Company. A lifelong member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, she was also a member of the Lutheran Women Missionary League, and the Federation of Lutheran Women. In addition, she was a Braille transcriber for the Lutheran Church Library for the Blind for forty years.
Paulla is survived by six nieces, two nephews, eight grand-nieces, and four grand-nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Esther Stauffer and Marie Gerding, and brother, John Gerding.
Funeral service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday September 25, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 West Wayne Street, Fort Wayne, with calling from 10 to 11 AM, prior to service. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Emmaus Lutheran Church, General Fund, Fort Wayne
