

Philip K. Carter, age 83 passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Cedar Creek Assisted Living after an extended illness. Phillip was the son of the late David E. and Phyllis (Bonar) Carter born in Kendallville, Indiana, on January 23, 1941. He graduated with an engineering degree from Purdue University. During his life he worked for several manufacturing companies including Phelps Dodge, and finally owning his own company. Phillip completed Sudoku puzzles in pen because he felt it was a challenge. He enjoyed traveling, solving puzzles, bird watching, and socializing with his friends. Phillip will be remembered for his great since of humor. Phillip leaves behind two daughters, Robin Hosford of Fort Wayne, Pamela Samuels also of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Matt Hosford, Ivy Gayle, all from Fort Wayne; four great-grandchildren, Capri, Jackson, Jude, Orca Rayne all from Fort Wayne; and sister Debora Landa of Syracuse. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and brother Dennis Carter. Funeral arrangements are being handled by C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home. To honor Phillips wishes to be cremated and have his ashes scattered at a later time, there will be no public service
