Phyllis Marie Elonzae Shaw, 95, of Fort Wayne, was called Home by her Lord and Savior on June 26, 2018. She was born to the late Gus and Gladys (Luce) Strimmenos on January 12, 1923, in Fort Wayne. Phyllis enjoyed square dancing, camping, cooking, traveling, and sewing. She will truly be missed by her loving family.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Sondra (Mike) Notter, Steve (Linda) Elonzae, George (Becki) Elonzae, and Gary (Roberta) Elonzae; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Helene Derloshon. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Steve A. Elonzae and Charles Shaw; sister, Mary Deuter; and brother, George Strimmenos.

Funeral service will be on Friday, June 29, 2018, at 11:00 am at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home (420 W. Wayne Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46802) with visitation two hours prior. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Sending fond thoughts of the Elonzae family. Remember my dad (Jim) calling her ‘Tilly’ and always excited about her cooking. There always seemed to be some flirting going on...wonder what Big Steve and Bernie thought about that? :-) For years, I remember my parents wedding anniversary dinner always included Steve and Phyllis as they were the only wedding party. Sorry I don’t have the wedding photo of the four of them. Blessings to you all!
